HP Yankees Unveil New Jerseys in Style! PDF Print E-mail

Upset Superstars 17-16 In Thrilling Come From Behind Win.

It looks like HP’s newly named Divisional baseball team, the Yankees, has started to find some form at last. The team unveiled its new look grey jerseys and unleashed the lumber in a 12-run 3rd inning outburst that put them in a position to win their very first game of the young season in their 4th attempt. However, they briefly looked like last year’s disgraced HP Rookies after squandering their massive lead to trail by 15 to 16 going into the last half of the 6th and final inning. However, a stunning, 2-out, 2-run rally saw the Yankees walk off with their first win in their first game wearing the new kit.

No 1 Diamond Closed for Senior Games PDF Print E-mail

We have been advised that No1 diamond is closed for U18, Premier and Divisional games until further notice. This is due to the ongoing issue of fly-balls hitting neighbouring houses and doing damage.

To resolve this we are setting up a project team to design and implement additional fencing, as well as manage communication with the Council and neighbours.

This is an important issue that we need to resolve as soon as possible, so we are looking for anyone with engineering skills who can help out in any way. If you can help please click here to email Michael Long.

Club Sponsors

Like many sports organisations, our club relies on funding for projects, equipment, uniforms and coaching. We are very fortunate to have some great sponsors including:

Briggs and Stratton

In 2009 Briggs and Stratton donated a lawn tractor to the club, to help us keep the fields in top condition. This is a great little tractor - look out for it down at Lloyd Elsmore.

Thanks for your support Briggs and Stratton!

Lion-small

Lion Foundation

The Lion Foundation provided funding in 2009 and 2010 toward the cost of player Jerseys for U13 and Senior Divional teams. These new jerseys look great and are the first DiamondBlacks jerseys in Black with white and red highlights.

Thanks for your support Lion Foundation!

North and South trust

North and South Trust

North and South Trust provided funding in 2010 toward the cost of composite wood bats for our senior teams.

Thanks for your support North and South Trust!

NZCT-small

NZ Community Trust

The NZ Community Trust provided funding in 2010 towards Baseball Bats - this enabled us to purchase new Easton Bats for all junior grades.

Thanks for your support NZ Community Trust!

Pub Charity

Pub Charity have provided funding in 2008, 2009 and 2010 toward the cost of our baseball hats, Baseballs and t-ball uniform pants. Baseballs are a big cost for us so this is a great help - also the hats are an important part of the DiamondBlacks uniform and look great with the Pub Charity logo on the side.

Thanks for your support Pub Charity!
